Features: The sensors emit short pulses of ultrasound waves, which then rebound from obstacles within their field of view. The rebounded signals are then received again by the sensors. The central control unit/transmitter then evaluates the time delay of the rebounded signals and interprets the distance of an obstacle. This information is then sent via a radio transmission to the receiver inside the vehicle. The radio receiver unit plugs directly in to the lighter socket at the front of the vehicle (no need to run wires front to rear of vehicle/Caravan). User selectable volume and programming switches built in to the receiver. Status LED's built in to the receiver. 12/24volt application. Four black 18mm diameter ultrasonic sensors are discretely mounted into a black plastic profile strip. Once reverse gear is selected the main control unit provides distance information via a small speaker within the receiver. Initial tones confirm the selection of reverse gear, as the vehicle reverses nearer to an obstacle the tones become more frequent and remain constant at approximately 30cm from the obstacle. Plastic profile strip and sensors can be colour coded if required, without affecting the performance of the system.
